We are told that eating fat will make you fat. It is actually when you eat fat and too many carbohydrates. When you consume carbohydrates, they are converted into glucose . The pancreas then secretes insulin to reduce the blood glucose levels. Insulin is our fat storing hormone and fat burning is turned off. If we have very little amounts of carbohydrates in our diet, we require less insulin, thus store less fat and able to burn fat. Low-carb Jalapeño Pie

Mouthwatering and sizzling, this is a breakfast to wake you up or a great lunch. This pie is easy to made and quick to prepare, especially if you have grated cheese and chopped pepper already.


For this you will need:
  • 11 ounces canned jalapeño peppers
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black or white
  • pepper to taste
  • 3⁄4 cup sour cream 
How to do:

1.  Preheat oven to 375˚F. Gently butter or oil a 9-inch plate. 
     Wash, seed, and chop jalapeño peppers.

2.  Put the jalapeño peppers and the pimiento in the pie pan's bottom.Sprinkle cheddar over them. In         a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs lightly and beat in salt and pepper. Pour the eggs over the               peppers and cheese. Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Cool a little. Serve with dollops of sour         cream.
